As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, observing for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Control access at designated points by checking identification and/or credentials, monitoring vehicle and pedestrian entry, and directing visitors and deliveries according to post orders.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to supervision using approved reporting systems.
