Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm communication, document observations, and deliver strong customer service to staff and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from supervisors and/or public partners as needed.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or credentials, screening visitors, and documenting authorized access per site requirements.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions; maintain required weapon handling, storage, and documentation practices in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
