Join Allied Universal at a cultural institution as an armed patrol officer, conducting routine foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and supporting staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to alarms and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Bring your armed guard card or license and a people-first mindset as you work with an agile, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Having alarm panel experience is preferred.
Having customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
Carry and handle assigned firearm and other authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws; maintain required qualifications and report any equipment concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching assistance, providing clear directions to visitors, and coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior spaces, galleries, public areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation; communicate security-related information promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
