About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Rover in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government public transit environment. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, professional communication. You will also deliver strong customer service while using teamwork and integrity in a caring culture that values agility, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties, carrying authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders and providing clear directions to the public as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity and/or hazards.
  • Complete detailed reports, maintain radio and dispatch communications, and assist with access control and screening measures as directed by post orders.
