As an armed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle-area patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support access control, report hazards and/or suspicious activity, and provide customer-focused assistance to employees and riders. You will thrive in a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a state, county, or city issued security license preferred.
  • Possess CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government transportation facilities and/or vehicles.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity, and communicate updates to site leadership and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, maintenance locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entry points, and coordinating contractor and delivery check-in per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, preserve incident information for follow-up, and support investigations by documenting observations and coordinating with law enforcement and/or transit personnel.
