About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Response in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and professional judgment. You will support staff and visitors with customer service while documenting observations and partnering with local teams. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties, maintaining control of issued equipment according to post orders and reporting any irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, radio communications, and coordination with on-site personnel and/or local responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, including checks of gates, doors, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activity.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and assist with controlled access, screening, and authorized escorts as directed by post orders.
