As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. You will monitor assigned areas, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and local responders. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer license.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge OR an associates degree with 60 college credits OR a Police Academy certificate OR a Corrections Academy certificate.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, scene containment, and requesting additional assistance as needed.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in processes, and/or screening vehicles or deliveries in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete timely reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and on-site stakeholders.
