Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an unarmed & armed guard card.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and/or screen visitors, employees, and contractors in accordance with location protocols and authorized entry requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or public officials as appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs, visitor records, and incident documentation to support access control operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access control issues, and/or security-related concerns.
