About The Position

As a Armed Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic government location as an armed officer in a primarily driving patrol role. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ year military police or corrections officer or armed security experience, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders, applicable laws, and Allied Universal guidelines while monitoring access points, checking credentials, and reporting security-related concerns.
  • Support access control and entry screening activities by verifying identification, monitoring restricted areas, and following established procedures for visitors, employees, and/or contractors.
