About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Perform armed patrols throughout buildings, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and screening areas, verify credentials as required, and report prohibited items, access concerns, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, law enforcement, and/or designated site contacts when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols and complete detailed activity, incident, and screening-related reports while maintaining professional interaction with the public and site personnel.
