As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. This post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrol coverage. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons on site by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Patrol assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, disturbances, and/or alarms, and coordinate notifications per post orders.
  • Maintain armed post readiness in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies, including proper handling, storage, and documentation of issued equipment.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and patrol observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel and public agency partners as directed.
