About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Driver Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through clear communication and customer service. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License and a valid drivers license, offering a role where agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity matter every day.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 3+ years of military police or corrections officer or armed security experience or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
  • Have supervisory experience.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access control points, check identification and/or credentials as required by post orders, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from appropriate public resources and/or supervisors as needed.
  • Complete security-related reports, document patrol activity and incident details, and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
