You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls while documenting activity and communicating clearly with site leadership. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of experience as military police, a corrections officer, armed security, and/or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech and/or media campus environment.
Carry and maintain issued firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies while performing armed patrol duties.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying appropriate contacts, and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, parking areas, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or disruptive activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Operate access control processes such as checking credentials, verifying authorized visitors and/or contractors, monitoring alarms and cameras, and completing written and/or electronic reports and logs.
