About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you may conduct mobile patrols and respond to calls for service across the property. You will represent Allied Universal with clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while delivering caring, customer-focused support.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate public resources and/or management when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of government property, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior through the designated reporting process.
  • Complete security-related logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to site representatives during shift changes.
