As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Rounds in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves providing a reassuring presence, supporting access control, and delivering outstanding customer service. Armed responsibilities are required for this post. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other disruptive behavior.
Communicate and collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members regarding security-related concerns or incidents.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and patrol activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance while on duty at the retail location.
