As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. This is an armed, driving post, supporting routine patrols and site checks while delivering professional customer service. Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Have 6 months or more of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and applicable government facility procedures, including armed post requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities as directed and requesting assistance from appropriate resources when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying authorization, checking identification, screening visitors and deliveries, and maintaining required logs and/or records.
• Complete detailed written reports and incident documentation, communicate notable activity to supervision and site contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and available information.
