In this customer-focused role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through strong communication, attention to detail, and integrity while delivering reliable service as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, and/or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the front desk location.
Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and visitor access according to location protocols, and help to deter unauthorized entry in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
Maintain front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation with attention to detail and according to location guidelines.
Answer questions, provide directions, and support a welcoming and professional environment while following security-related standards common to a financial institution location.
