About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrols in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned manufacturing and industrial locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. This armed role involves conducting routine patrols and engaging with employees and visitors to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgement and communication skills.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
Monitor access points and screen individuals entering the premises, verifying credentials and reporting any suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as directed.
Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations and/or lockdowns, as directed by site protocols.
Maintain a professional presence while interacting with employees, visitors, and contractors at the location, providing information and assistance as needed.
