Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and protect people and property within the location.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any observed irregularities or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
Assist medical staff, visitors, and patients with wayfinding and general information as needed.
Complete incident reports and daily activity logs accurately and in a timely manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Remain prepared to respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, and/or alarms, in accordance with site-specific procedures.
