Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Patrol in Reading, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents and supports a welcoming environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols and provide exceptional customer service, while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Requirements

At least one year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience is required.
Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgement and training.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and protect property within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Work collaboratively with site personnel and local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergency situations.
Carry and responsibly handle an assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
