Security Officer Armed Hospital Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hospitals, and more. Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania only.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and reporting details through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or delivery activity in support of site access control protocols.
- Support incident documentation and communication with site contacts, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when needed, while following Allied Universal and site-specific post orders.
