As a Patrol Armed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • At least six months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report security-related incidents.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management processes, verifying identification and authorization as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders during emergencies, following established procedures for the location.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance and information to staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
