Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Maintain an armed presence as required by the post profile, adhering to all applicable laws and company policies.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on all incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
Assist visitors, employees, and/or the public with directions and general information while upholding security-related protocols.
