As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrols in Elizabethtown, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will help to maintain order and provide peace of mind. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and appropriate escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of protocols.
  • Support hospital staff and visitors by providing information, directions, and assistance as needed.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when required to support incident response and/or investigations.
