As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrols in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, applying training and protocols as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior within the location.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
  • Carry and responsibly manage assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
