Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, applying training and protocols as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior within the location.
Maintain clear and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
Carry and responsibly manage assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
