About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require the presence of an armed security professional.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders during emergencies and/or critical incidents to support a coordinated response.
Operate security-related equipment and communication devices as required for the post.
Assist in enforcing site-specific rules, regulations, and policies to help to deter disruptions within the healthcare environment.
