About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol Driver in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the facility to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting findings according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
Support the enforcement of site policies and procedures, assisting staff and visitors as needed within the healthcare environment.
Document all patrols, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
