Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-ray screening experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment and communication skills.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and assisting authorized personnel as needed.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation procedures and coordination with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required.
Maintain visibility and a professional presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.
Follow all Allied Universal and healthcare facility procedures regarding the handling of weapons and security-related equipment.
