Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and assisting authorized personnel as needed.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation procedures and coordination with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required.
  • Maintain visibility and a professional presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and healthcare facility procedures regarding the handling of weapons and security-related equipment.
