About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Tucson, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering customer-focused support. Requirements

An armed guard card and/or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state and local laws, and location-specific post orders, including maintaining required firearms qualifications.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related disturbances, disorderly conduct, and access control issues, and notify emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and other security-related concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate key information to supervisors and/or client contacts, and assist with investigations by documenting observations and preserving information per policy.
