As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, manage access points as needed, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will represent Allied Universal with an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, supporting a caring culture that puts people first, delivers through teamwork, and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, observe for unusual conditions, and communicate security-related information to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with medical staff and/or local law enforcement.
  • Complete accurate reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, including security-related observations, patrol findings, and follow-up actions.
