As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Applicants must have a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Baton certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas while carrying out armed security-related duties in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Document and report any incidents, observations, or unusual circumstances encountered during patrols or while on post.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following established procedures for government settings.
Remain alert and attentive at all times, prepared to respond to situations that may require an armed presence.
