As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible throughout the location to help to deter security-related incidents. You will carry out armed duties as required, while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
A minimum of six months of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or activity, and report findings according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter potential disruptions or threats.
Carry and responsibly manage assigned firearms in accordance with company policy and local regulations.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required by circumstances at the location.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
