About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to support a secure atmosphere, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and control access points to the premises, verifying credentials and authorizations as required.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and/or criminal activity.
Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
Follow all site-specific instructions regarding the carrying and management of firearms, adhering to all applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.
