Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and professional conduct.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor for unusual activity or potential threats within the location and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Complete detailed incident reports and document any occurrences or observations as required by site protocols.
Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with inquiries and provide guidance as needed while maintaining access control protocols.
Follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures, as well as site-specific instructions, to fulfill assigned duties.
Participate in emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, as directed by site management or law enforcement.
Maintain professional interactions with clients, staff, and members of the public while upholding the reputation of Allied Universal.
