As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This armed post requires you to respond quickly to situations, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements

Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance as needed.
Write detailed reports of daily activities and any incidents that occur during the shift.
Cooperate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel during incidents as required by site policies.
Operate communication devices to stay in contact with Allied Universal management and other team members while on duty.
