As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. This armed position involves engaging with visitors and staff, responding to incidents, and upholding a welcoming environment. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing customer service is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances and exits, verifying credentials and controlling access as required by site protocols.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities while maintaining confidentiality.
Assist in the coordination of emergency response measures and communicate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
Remain alert to unusual activities or conditions which may present security-related risks at the government location.
Follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures as well as client-specific guidelines while on duty.
