As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. This armed position involves engaging with visitors and staff, responding to incidents, and upholding a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verifying credentials and controlling access as required by site protocols.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist in the coordination of emergency response measures and communicate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities or conditions which may present security-related risks at the government location.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures as well as client-specific guidelines while on duty.
