Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations to help maintain a secure environment. This role requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your duties. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service, all while embodying our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity.
Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and law enforcement as needed to support security-related operations.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
Follow all company protocols and client-specific instructions regarding armed patrol duties.
Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
