As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols at a government location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants must provide one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, and document all incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and members of the public, maintaining a visible and approachable presence.
Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents occurring at the location.
