About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Certified in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a government location. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor for any unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management as required.
Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials as needed.
Prepare and submit detailed incident and activity reports according to site requirements.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while interacting with the public, employees, and visitors at the location.
