Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrolman in Fort Lauderdale, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government-related locations, maintaining a secure environment for all on site. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations on government property in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned government buildings and their perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
Maintain accurate records and logs of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry to restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary, following established protocols for armed response.
Remain alert and attentive to changing conditions, hazards, or unusual activity within the location, and report findings promptly to the appropriate parties.
