As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help prevent potential issues, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 College Credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during critical situations or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public while helping to deter disruptive behavior.
