Requirements
- Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter prohibited items and/or individuals from entering restricted areas.
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of patrols and observations.
- Communicate and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and site-specific protocols while carrying a firearm during assigned duties.
