About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Officer in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, providing a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and engage with the public, all while carrying out your armed responsibilities. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a college degree.
Possess a corrections officer license.
Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Possess a law enforcement officer license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Follow all Allied Universal protocols and procedures while performing armed patrol duties.
Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
