About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Lead in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, log activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and local authorities as required.
Assist with emergency response activities and/or drills according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
Perform searches and inspections as required by site-specific procedures, while maintaining professionalism and respect for individuals.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders during incidents or as directed by site management.
