About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Jupiter, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and unusual activity. This is an armed and driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and armed guard card or license. You will deliver clear communication and customer service while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must possess a Secret Clearance
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by post and shift.
  • Control access at designated posts by checking identification and/or credentials, verifying authorization for restricted areas, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Operate and monitor security-related equipment such as radios, cameras and access control systems, and complete accurate shift logs, patrol reports and incident reports.
