About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Bell Gardens, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you respond to situations and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials as required for entry into restricted areas.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, including situations that may require the use of authorized defensive equipment.
