Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer serving a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. In this dynamic role, you will primarily drive throughout the assigned area, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Fully qualified armed applicants are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus!

Requirements

  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence while armed as required by the post profile.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter unwanted activity and report any irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Interact with the public, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner while upholding the policies of the location.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when required by incidents or emergencies at the location.
