About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Bike Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Able to ride a bike.
  • A valid driver’s license with a Class B and passenger endorsement is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs and reports of activities, incidents, and observations during shifts.
