About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Front Desk in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a leading financial institution, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming visitors, managing access and visitor logs, and supporting security-related screening and badge procedures. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Control access by greeting employees and visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor badges as required, and directing individuals to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry points and security-related systems such as alarms, cameras, and access control, and report irregular conditions according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as visitor activity, incident documentation, and shift turnover notes, and communicate pertinent information to the next shift and/or site leadership.
