As a Security Officer - Armed Front Desk Financials in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a prominent financial institution location, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and maintaining a professional presence in the lobby. This is an armed post, requiring an armed guard card/license. You will help to deter security-related incidents through attentive monitoring and exceptional customer service, reflecting Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity while putting people first.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A minimum of six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- One of the following is required: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or at least 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
- Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors in accordance with established procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following the guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with clients, visitors, and site personnel to address inquiries and/or concerns.
- Assist in emergency response activities as directed, supporting building evacuation procedures and/or other emergency protocols.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a consistent and visible presence at the front desk.
